so i'm kind of confused here. i did a 1v1 treaty on andes yesterday. me china him brits. 40 minute treaty, then we had like a 40 minute battle at midmap. no one was winning battle. he was going musk/huss/lb/rocket. i using a lot of the arbuesquir/chadango army, forbidden army, hand mortars flame throwers and the infinite 30 rattan shield shipment and infinite two flying crows. but for some reason. after 40 minutes of battle. i was DRAINED. i mean i had like no money. idle villagers was not the issue, i had all my cards/improvements for rice paddy, and i did NOT delete the extra 20 vils, so i had 119. i had used livestock until end of treaty (i'm not a good enough multitasker so when treaty ends i just put all on rice paddy. i looked at postgame and he had 2000 more total recourses, so very close. but at end of game, my score had drained way down to 1400 while his was steady at 2400. i think my issue might have been kill ratio (.58) but for china i don't think thats as bad because they need to mass right? if anyone has tips for china or would know what i possibly did wrong (army composition?) it would be appreciated. thanks

i got old han for a while, but it costs too much wood he was mostly musketeer, and pikes vs musk? not a good idea. i looked at post game 900 musk 150 huss 100 lb. i did get a LOT of flamethrower and hand mortar. but hand mortar fail vs anything but artillery and buildings

flamethrowers are epic! especially against inf. but they do fail very bad vs hussars, and he used his hussars VERY effectively. he had goons too so he might have been microing goons on flamethrowers, that would have been smart

Re: draining
You just got outplayed. Probably a mixture of him cowing, bad micro, wrong units, and maybe position could have played a part. And nobody used the natives? You could have spamed standard army + natives for a extremely cost effective chu/huaminca pike combo.

we decided on no nats, just something we talked about before game. we got the techs just not the soldiers. and i probably did just get outplayed, but i don't understand how i could have had 1000 fewer points when we had almost identical total recourses. standard army? say whaaat? exalted steppe riders have like 2 attack. lol but i get your point you can get cho ko nu for gold

Do this and you would probably never run out of wood + be able to spam chu.
And yes they're better than the skirms.

Flamethrowers are very limited in effectiveness, and they have a very low cost efficiency. Because of their low range, they go straight to the front of ur army which makes your opponent just own them. there are very few situations where i would recommend making flamethrowers because the flying crow shipment can usually supply your artillery needs with what hand morts cant.
Someone play treaty with me and teach me mehn teach me!!!1!!111!!!

Re: draining
britsh is decent vs china. But maybe u need to do a better composition. Chuk+pike+mortar+crow + consulate canon are china´s best army.
Take a look to some china recs, so u have an idea.

Jerom:Maybe you drained because flamethrowers (at least so I think) kinda suck ?

Points is not how much resources you have gathered in the whole game- it is related to the amount of resources you have at that time + the cost of any troops/buildings/vills out at that time + upgrades So even though you gathered the same amount, you must have been consistently losing much more than him- due to your bad army composition and possibly microing your troops badly- so despite the fact that you both gathered similar amounts- you used up much more than him and so his score was much higher at the end. It seems like you probably need to use your troops more wisely- CKN with the age4 card (old han reforms?) are really strong. Given that you don't cow after treaty ends at all I would suggest maybe doing a boom without cows? It would make your score slightly lower at 40 but you could get out more military cards and you could free up your deck for other useful cards (I'm unsure how many useful cards China actually has though)- I would imagine that getting other cards out earlier would actually be more helpful given that you stop cowing altogether after 40.

Give us the link to the game and people can help out a bit more. Take a look at your combat to training xp. Also, a kill ratio of .58 is pretty bad, you should be up around .75 or .80 against British in order to be even or win I would think.
