    Subject: TAD or normal

    Hi,

     i played aoe3 before the 1. expansion.

     my question is why some people still play the normal version.

    i think in tad is everything included what in the normal version is.

     

    so is there and good reason to play the normal version and not tad?

    yes the asian dynasties is vanilla + TAD and TWC if you have it. i can think of a few reasons ppl would play regular one

    1 they don't want to pay for new game

    2 i hear that civs are more balanced on vanilla. not sure if thats true

    3 its easier to find a game, but if all the people who were there to find easy game on vanilla went to TAD, problem would be solved i think

    4 noob bash because if they play on tad their vanilla ranking would be low

    if the ranking is the same, then the homcities also?

    if i play in vanilla, does my level in tad increase also?

    Not sure exactly what you're asking, but if you play a game in vanilla, your player rank in TAD is not affected, but your home cities carry over between versions, so if you go from level 12 to level 14 home city, you will see that in TAD as well. The same works in reverse, other than new civs for TAD/TWC.
