Re: ottoman help needed
emsstewart929: hey ive been playing as the ottoman for about a week or so and i love them already. Ive watched the triple otto recording about four times and ive hit the age times perfectly the only thing is im getting a 2000 score and im using subline port can anyone help me or give me tips?
Here is a tip for using Ottoman that I have always found extremely useful, is keep your factories on producing Great Bombards, most people have there factories on wood anyway but Ottoman wood trade so that is useless. For your starting Army have 7-8 Great Bombards Spread apart with Jans spread around in them to help stop the horse charge that he will be forced to do, also don't spread the Bombards EVERYWHERE just like don't have them side-by-side, have some a little bit in front some a bit behind, you get the idea. Use the Jans to get your fwd base and starting pushing in, just make sure you bring your bombards fwd because if you forget about them you'll end up fighting with about 14 population not fighting, which is really harmful for your battle. Ottoman have the best artillery in the game, with all the cards :) Another useful card that clearly under-used is the Calvary Archer upgrade that allows you to get bonus when you shoot villagers, that is extremely useful in stopping your opponent from making a fwd base. The hot air balloon is also a nice added card to get because it allows you to see without getting shot down, its like a immortal unit and it costs no population! ftw

Pro-troll, Joel, well done. You've given just enough 'reasoning' behind each statement and a little polish to lure in countless privates & lance corporals ... lolol
I realize that there are no failures, but only outcomes. I always succeed in producing outcomes. I always succeed in learning from each outcome.
