whats a good score for india in treaty? i tried my first treaty with them and got 1850 (on deccan). however my economy never drained in a 40 minuteish battle, it actually got much better. i had 60k food and gold consistenly even at the end. i have a good deck i think. any general tips would be appreciated i was going gurhka/howdah. siege elephants really suck against everything but buildings i found out. is there any other way for india to counter art? becuase when i tell the siege elephants to go kill a cannon they have to run out so far they get knocked off. howdahs are decent at it but not great

Actually ~2400 score is average :P

And you have to use siege eles against art, they aren't that great like you said, so art is one of India's weaknesses. But you can also try to flank the opponent with mahout and get some art, shoot with howdahs on cannons or you fight with culvs from the consulat (which I never tried).

lol. 2400 average? and i got 1800 on deccan... wow. which ally gives you culvs?

how could you possibly get 2400? whats that recourse distrib like? caus i had 150k total recourses at the end and i was at like 2200

B2T: You can get culvs when you ally with ports, but they just make buildings cheaper while Brits give your units 10% more HP, so I don't know if allying with ports while the fight just for culvs is useful.

yeah but you have to get either musk or xbow with the culvs which makes it kinda worthless. and yeah you always want brits during battle

When I was playing India, I was getting 2500-2550 every game. Its not impossible. However I found their battle to be completely impossible for me LOL. I can't run so I failed trying to heads up fight vs half competent people. My time using India in TR was short lived.

you have to do insane battlefield construction. but you won't drain wood really caus of infinite 1300 shipment and 2 trickles (good cards?) and during battle+sacred cows. you'll be getting shipments like none other. i use infinite 9 urumi 8 war elephants 23 chakrams too. are those good cards? it lets you get a huge army and you don't suffer as much from slow training

 

I don't understand what you mean by insane battlefield construction, or what its use you intend to use it for. You can easily drain wood, just think about it. you have 3 vills on 1300 crates which gather at 8.0 a second. Technically 3 factories. Now take into account with euro civs that you can hardly keep andes native spam up with 2 factories. Now look at India and see what their cav units cost. GG. Now think about how stupid it would be to send anything other than 1300 wood. Its like making cannons from your factories during battle as Dutch.

i have played china and i know you want brit allies

actually sometimes its better to use german allies as china for the dopps as anti cav namely if youre against spain or french.

playing as china vs france or spain seems like a really bad idea. i imagine lancers spam beats them easily because their only ranged cav is just terrible.

when i play india, if u micro your siege art and the howdaws correctly u can counter art.

Another good thing i like to do, is build a lot of castles in the battle-front.
