    i paid 40 for it :(. lol but is this a real physiclal copy or a download caus i'd lke to get it for a friend but i'm out of town right now and not on my computer. it says complete colection so that means it has twc and tad right?

    It has TWC and TAD, yes, though on Steam it is not a physical copy. Though, you can purchase a gift code on Steam and then gift it to your friend's Steam account.

    i bought it and stored it for later. heres what i'm going to do. i'm going to have my friend come see if he likes it. but if he doesn't i guess i'll just put it on my computer and have another account. can i download it from steam if i already have it installed on my pc?

    i guess if all else fails i could uninstall the one i have now then download it. then just access both accounts since i don't care about my offlline stuff. btw musk what did Ryz0n say about you writing a tutorial for getting American civ? He really doesn't seem to care imo.

    You can download it on Steam if you currently have it.  You'll need to re-install if you wish to use the Steam provided CD key.  While the steam CD key will work on some retail complete collections, I would suggest reinstalling via steam to make sure you're using the right version.  Following Metis's instructions here: http://forum.agecommunity.com/forums/thread/960099.aspx

     Should help to make sure that the steam install functions properly, but if you run into error creating a new account (if that's what you're doing), shoot me an email at age3support@microsoft.com and let me know the situation.

    I am honored to say, when given the option to have AOE3 back on sale for 8 hours, steam players worldwide voted for Age of Empires III!  It's back up on the community choice for another 4 hours at 75% off (and back in the top 3 overall!)  

     

    I never expected there to be so much support still for the game, and am both flattered and humbled to see so many gamers excited about picking up the game again.

    I don't believe those numbers will be published / publicly viable at any point in time.  But I can tell you (as you can no doubt decipher from the current 'top games' list), that it has been doing very well.
