Definitely go for the advanced arsenal, it makes your skirms a lot better and also increases unit speed and hp!.
Metis:It doesn't hurt that the girl villagers sound like they are flirting with you when you click on them too.
Milky__: Anybody can find a BO, copy it, and they CAN pretty much win any game

In a standard game it is adviced to use : 3 Villagers 1 Bank 700 Wood / 8 Pikemen 700 food / Gold and Age up with 2/3 Banks or make Skirm / Pikes / Huss in age II Other than that for a full boom : 3 Villagers 700 wood 600 wood 8 Pikes / 700 food/coin Rest depends

You shouldn't need 700 gold... you're dutch. 3 vill ~age~ 1 bank 700w 600w ~age~ 1k wood if you going boom heavy (my preference) otherwise whatever you want from age 3.

I would say that Advanced Arsenal isn't one of the necessary cards. Dutch never go full colonial, their standard and the most effective strategy is semi-ff. Rather than sending arsenal card send food or gold and advance, then build an arsenal to research Infantry Rifling and Cavalry Caracole. You won't have enough resources for other improvements, you won't research huss hp 'cause Dutch don't go hussars, they make cannons vs mass skirm/bow. This card is useful at a late game. The necessary cards are 3 vills, 700w, 700f, 1 bank, Religious Freedom, 8 Pikes, 1000w, Bank of Amsterdam (at some cases you might not need Bank of Rotterdam because you will be in age IV at the time and will send a factory card & Tulip Speculation), Infantry Combat, Cavalry Combat, 8 Skirms, 9 Ruyters, 2 Factories & Tulip Speculation. And don't use the balloon... Just don't, you have to feel what the opponent is doing and your explorer can give you enough information for anything you need. No, you don't have to have a balloon at his tc to see everything -_-
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game.

Nevermind, I just got on and discovered that advanced hot air baloon was in the 4th age. This while time I thought it was in the 1st age. Yeah, it's not that good then.

I'm thinking about adding a new boat called 'Noah's ark' that can hold 2 of each other unit type ... this is just really preliminary so don't get too excited about that for now.

Advanced arsenal card is very useful for infantry, but less for cav. So, if you plan on going very heavy on infantry or you think the game will drag on until late age, it can make a big difference. But if you're in a team game and you're going cav, it's not so useful to have AA in a cav deck.
