Nah, I just shared my opinion, I didn't want to make anyone sad, I haven't said anything bad anyway, I just didn't like the FP. It's just I like the way it is, I just don't like changes in anything... Keep it up for the people who like the Fan Patch :)

Thanks for the feedback! Although its true many small changes seem controversial, I do encourage you to try it for the new Computer player, or try my AI separately without the patch.

Honestly I aimed to lower the usage of Musketeers which were all too dominating, but keep their high-end damage against Cavalry. Units like Hussars are slightly cheaper, slow units like Halberdiers are faster, Cuirassiers do a little less damage, and units like Hatamoto Samurai are no longer invincible. On top of this ships were improved and balanced, but made a bit more realistically slow, while a few more ever-needed dock improvements were added.

A partial part was to keep much of the same balance, but add some spice (not balance-related, but fun, and fair things) to the game to make it a better overall experience, and to make a custom computer player who played a bit better than the original game.

I am sad that you could not appreciate every detail, but I do hope that you will be able in time to see that I have done some good work on it.

As for you Gibson, you are the most arrogant, assuming person I have nearly met on these forums. You clearly act agitated when others bring up posts that interest them because they are curious about a subject, and hypocritically you simply post a post saying that Mike21Daisu can't read and reply to what he wants. It is a forum rule that you bring up old topics if you want to read them, as long as your comments are relevant. It is so ridiculous, your claims, because you yourself bump the thread by telling someone else not to. Where lies the blame now? I will leave you be.

As to others, I would wish that you respect each other, as we are all bound by love of the same game, Age of Empires III here, regardless of how we play it. It would be an honour to serve amongst men of true virtue, which all men ought dutifully to seek.

Again, Mike21, don't be discouraged by 'gibson'-like persons. Act justly, and when you are in the right, you don't need to defend yourself.

I hadn't seen this comment earlier. Sorry for the long wait. I have again updated the file since it was in a state of wreck. Since I've recently turned my attention to the messed up civs (iroquois, aztec, etc.), I haven't looked too much at the others. But they could become very good with resource cards, which I didn't extensively test with. But the cheaper light hand cavalry, longer ranged muskets, more expensive manors will do. However, I think Japan could then receive a boost ordinarily - what if shrines gathered faster but had less resources from animals and huntables? Or I could make certain units then cheaper. I also had thought about making wood gathering for all civs +10% faster. As far as I am concerned now though, Japan has had many boosts to their military abstractly, but may need a better politician and/or economy (4 Naginatas to Age 3, or like 2 Naginata and a Stable Rickshaw). India could receive back their original Agra Fort age up. Also if they had another approach - like a politician sending a castle wagon or something like that I think that that would be interesting. I have not tested their early game recently, and they made really need some things. I have, however, balanced their lategame and midgame. Spain I disagree with, because they have needed boosts like I gave them since the beginning of AOE3. Germany has received muskets, and Tilly's Discipline is both better and worse. I've also made Ulhans better and given Germany a 6 Ulhan card which they needed. I've now taken back a lot I had given to Portugal. They now have just 7 outposts, no boosts to Organ Guns, and slightly improved cassadors.

However I am in need of suggestions for early-gane for India and especially Japan, since I don't play Japan much. I have however boosted the Japanese cannon, and somewhat the Samurai, but these do not count towards economics. Perhaps Japan could have some special ability to build buildings cheaper (Let us say rice paddies, for instance), the Iroquois could have an upgrade allowing their villagers to build buildings twice as fast and have buildings cost 10% cheaper, and perhaps India could have an early economic bonus. However, Japan I must say was quite good in FP 1.2, and they haven't changed to much from that version to this one.

Also about native warrior shipments: I have made them all come in 40 seconds instead of 60. This drastically improves them (I think some are 50 seconds, but infinite shipments still take 60). Also I wondered about making the colonial age Native Warrior shipments cheaper in cost.

i only read the civs part. wasn't much tbh. anyway what you should be doing is nerfing sioux brit ports spain germany etc and boost india and japan. you're doing none of these things
