Actually India pwns against infantry.. Mahouts, Urumis, Gurkhas.. The real problem is anti-artillery, especially Port long range mortars and the similar Japanese version..

Most people dont play only 1 civ. There are some that do however. You dont really want to be pared up with a teammate that has the same civ as you, because some civs counter others better.
