russia has an effective rush

but they are hard against civ's like japanese and india

True the russians are a great rush civ with mass unit production but remember otto's have much stronger unit hp and higher attack then strelt's plus abus guns are a even better defense russians don't get artillery but if russia produce mass musketter and halbrider with some strelt help in early game then it is a hard fight.

yes the ottoman rush is one of the best but some of the statements on here were dumb you should use trade posts i have 2 by the time i have my army and if your rush fails your screwed since your units are very expensive.

Japs musketier rush :P is very effective in 1 vs 1, if ur not playing vs another jap lol

Some guy attempted to rush me once with Russian Strelet... But fighting back with Janissary, and Abus Gun is a win situation for early rush. :D

With Abus and Jani, their no way you can lose an early rush, unless of course you underestimate your opponents ability.

I also like rushing with China, Especially Boxer Rebellion Style... Boy it sure does have people running for their barracks. LOL... "Quick GET THE RIFLE MEN!!! THE PEASANT ARMY OF CHINA IS COMING!!" >.< lol

The best rushing nation is the Russians. All you need to do is have all villagers collect food and wood so you can spam sterlets. You can also get the fencing school and dueling school upgrades to make your sterlets train quickly. If you make it to the fourth age, than you can get the church upgrade and get all infantry units instantly.
