true, going colonial is almost always best, but FF is still strong and against civs that are expecting a colonial rush and preparing for it, an FF can catch them off guard and win the game.

though there are players that actually scout (say lvl 32+) :)

might seem as if i said FFing sucks, but openly FFing (while opponent knows) is mostly still strong or even best in some situations.

What you should do is your first shipment in age 1 is 2 settler wagons which is a given. During transaction put villagers on wood till you only have 5 or 6 on food (I normally just have 5 on food). I build a market with 100 wood that I gathered and get the wood upgrade if I have the gold i'll get the hunting dogs 2. You should have enough for a barracks as soon as your aged.

use 1 settler wagon to gather from the 400 wood. Que either 5 xbows or 5 pikes (depending on opponents civ i'd do 5 pikes) Send the 9 xbow card as soon as you hit colonial. Always have villagers qued up. After you send 9 xbow your next shipment should be 3 settler wagons then 700 gold/5 uhlans. I do the 5 uhlans but thats just me. Put all the villagers coming otu of your tc eitehr on wood, food or gold once you make a stable and plan on making uhlans.

depends on what kind of attack, but at 10 minutes thats too small so just play a few unrated games and try the things out

if you are attacking what you should do it make a mixture of 1 war wagon, 5 skimershires, 5 doppels, and if you need a bigger army use crossbowmen

only go WW if you're facing really strong cav that'll beat ur uhlans like cuirassiers or mahouts, otherwise uhlan+skirm will do with WW or doppel shipments.

oki.

have tryed to ff with it. it works but lose in age 3. i span WW and skirms but they always own me. think WW sucs. skirms kill them too easy.

age3? less than 10 mins, but imo don't use that strat, it's pretty hard to pull off against rushes.

not saying it doesn't work, but you'll find yourself in a pretty bad situation if you can't micro perfectly.

nono u don't build mill you just keep your hunts close to your TC, same with xbows. you just raid with cav and when he starts pressuring you, you play defensively using minutemen and TC fire and watch out not to lose your xbow and uhlans.

yeah. sounds good. you rush with your 9 xbow and raid with your cav ore do you defend with them and do you build mill before you age to fortress.

know i am doing a xbow spam on a FB with some few pikes to take cav and then just keep him down ;-) and wait on he will run out of eco and raid all vill he will try to get out off his base. work very well with good mirco now i only need some more marco skills and i would be on my way to be captain

in 1v1 you'll want to send 9 xbows and go fort, cav semi-FF, actually a pretty known german strat.

(card order 2sw, 3sw, 9xbow, 700g)

i have tried both stratin a sandbox to see what work best. the 700 gold give me cav fastest but the 3 SW give better eco the 3 sw only need 2,5 min to gather 700 gold. the fastest i have done the strat is 22 uhlan on 7.30 have a wood problem to all that houses. uhlan is very pop heavy.. but thnx for the strat. already won 1 with it.

Well ok if your macro does suck then go for the 700 gold

The idea is that the game isn't going to go past 8/9 mins so I figured a burst of resources would be more effective though I haven't tried the 3 SW for this strat.

oki. thnx for your helping. will try it. what if my enamy get mill before me ore i dont can get my FB up. f he kill my vill before i can get up my barrack. what i do then?? should i turle in? ore....

I can give you a German Cavalry start BO though this is most definetly used for team games and not 1v1 as it's pure uhlan.

Age 1 - 1 Settler Wagon to collect all food crates and one wood crate, shift click him to build house then hunt. Other two hunt right away as everyone else from TC. First card is 2 Settler Wagons. Age with 12 vils (including wagons) using 400 wood politician.

Transition - Send one settler wagon to a forward position and set him on wood. Gather any remaing crates. If you had no extra wood crates put another villager on wood. Put 7 villagers on coin and leave the other 4/(or 3) to gather food. Queue up some vils.

Age 2 - Immedaitely send 700 coin and get someone to collect wood crates. Build a stables and two more houses using this. (stables first asap at fb). All new villagers from TC to food or coin depending whichever you need most. As soon as your Stables up start pumping Uhlans. Send your two from your 700 coin ship to fb and send for 5 uhlans at next shipment.

If you can get a good BO down you'll end up with about 27/32 uhlans at 7:30 on a normal map. Usually at this point you'll find you won't have enough resources to conitnually pump out uhlans since the 700 coin bonus has gone and some vils would have to move to wood for houses etc so now is a good time to rush! Very effective early on as large numbers of cavalry in age 2 are hard to deal with. Just make sure your team mate targets any pikes/musk

it's the basic german xbow spam and you'll see a lot of experts using it.
