my game runs normal, but when i go on the water and boats battle it starts to stick and jam but when i go off the boats it works again, do you no what i could do.

I want to stop it sticking.

Please help!!!!

My laptop is the toshiba A100-147 equium

My laptop is pretty new so i should think it as has got all up to date technology [Edited on 3/26/2007]

What are your system specs? (Processor type & speed, specific video card, amount of memory, etc...)

Have you gotten the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Have you tried lowering your in-game graphics settings?

I am having the same problem.  I have the 945gm express chipset as well.  What I want to know is if there is a way to turn down the water refresh rate or maybe make the water still instead of fluid.  That would probably take away all the lagginess.  Anyone have any better ideas?  How would I go about doing that?  I would rather the water effects be gone and have less lag than to worry about this.  Either that or MS needs to put out a patch for this video chipset since it is more than capable of handling this game it just isn't using the shared memory.

hey i can be happy to help you, you say its real slow on ship battles i believe it can be your video card to me your video card could be a intergrated so i suggest you upgrade your video card that can be a big problem in most stuff if you have a intergrated but uh if you have a laptop i'll let some one else help with that

Hi there!!!! I'm new here and I started to play AoE III a week ago, more or less and I'm experiencing the same problem. When I go to water to see a batlle or to attack, the machine just freezes, only graphics, I have to click on my town center on the mini map and wait a few minutes to the game stabilizes.

I'm concern about this, because I'm running the game on a laptop (HP 530) Win XP SP2; Intel Core Duo, 1GB RAM. I've disabled some graphics features on the game, but the problem remains. Also, when I want to play, I restart my computer, I close some programs (Sony Ericsson phone monitor, Google Talk, etc) There's some kind of patch or something like that. A friend of mine runs the game on an older laptop and  the game runs a litlle bit slower, but at water the graphics performance is the same. This ONLY happen when my ships meet an enemy ship. Thanks a lot!!!!
