Germans > French
Everyone Knows that French Econ is OP/Uber/Gay BUT I Know that it isn't the Best, the Germans is. Now You come at me with Thing like "You use so much Pop for your Econ that you cant Build enough units to do anything but Die" Well in my Last few Treaty Games i have used Germans vs French (Lamers) and won, What does this mean? that French Cant Stand up to Overwhelming German Units Lets look at Counters: Gendarmes-Countered by Dopps anyone could have seen that coming Dopplesoldners- Countered by Volts, this is where i dissagree Yes Dopps get owned if they are Blindly Charging But Since Dopps are naturally Faster (Must be in good Shape from carrying that huge Sword) With Millitary Drummers and Tillys Discipline (or Incans Road Building if you perfer) Their Speed is easily over 5.5 more than enough to out run ANY OTHER FRENCH INF. On the Subject of Volts Volts-Countered by Needle Gunners i know that most would say that Volts=Needle Gunners which is True But lets take those Sweet Steroid Taking Dopps from Before and Catch those Volts in the back now what happe.....Oh wait no more Volts Now for my Favorite Part French Econ-What is their Counter? Nothing some would say but i have an answer 55 villies(5 to build FB and such) and 20 SW is my answer Using this theory ET and Guild Artisans makes SW worth about 3 Villies and ET make all others 10% better which (usually) is enough to Throw out Block(thats GG right there) and Spies. Well that just My take on the Whole Germans its 4:20(haha) AM right now so sorry for any Spelling/Gramatical/Unit Errors

what if the french uses skirm/musket with cannons and circling gendarmes? the doppels may kill skirm, but with muskets as a shield they won't reach the skirm. but besides that,, french artillery is the destruction of germans since the germans don't have faster training or the (25%?) upgrade. if the french uses enough cannons, with the skirm/musket (or halb if u prefer) with a few gends circling around. U must be 1 hell of a good german player to counter that.... (or ur opponent is just noob)

french is > every other civ in treaty (40). i dont see how doppels beat skirms either...thats running heavy inf into it's counter. granted french lamers are used to running gendarme straight into their counter, and that usually works. but doppel shouldnt beat LI, you might have had like 25 doppels vs 20 skirm, or some situation that stacked for the dopps.

Yeah ill give you that but MOST French Players dont have enough Brain power to spam more than 2 units And to Mikey Yeah but what im saying is get his skirms busy with your Skirms then run you dopps in and Slaughter

Ok, your wrong. My main civ is Germany, check my stats and as yourself, I won't back down to any French player. BUT I do know that with equally skilled players, Frenchwill win 9/10 times. Yes the German ECO is almost as good but you can't stop or beat FUR TRADE. Today I did a 40Min Treaty, sent Fur Trade watched my Gold jump to 185k. Yes Dops counter Gens but anyone thta just spams Gens will get slaughtered. I won a Treaty game last night only making Skirms and Cannon, my enemy was completly pissed, he went so far as to call me a noob becasue I wasn't sending in wave after wave of Gens. I'd be more than happy to play you, French Vs your German civ if you like m8. Remember my main civ IS Germans so I pretty much know exackly what you'll do. Look me up on ESO!!!

Your exackly right mikey, dops will beat LI 1 for 1 but there is no way a German player can send in 75 Dops to counter 75 LI.

germans are invincible in lategame if you use the church upgrade card, advanced arsenal and solingen steel and especially if played on pamapas.
why?
Because advanced arsenal and the church up can boost a dopples speed by 35% and 10% hp making em able to kill cav units which try to escape. With Maya you can boost em by a total of 55% speed. So now with the solingen steel card they can get imperial stats in age 4 or get simply uber in age 5 and still have more than the normal speed level. They gunna beat anything if you use em together with some artillery to avoid hit n run.
PS: Of course they only get that great in treaty which I dont play, but if you reach it in supremacy its even more deadly since the enemy wont have such an incredible ressource income to keep it going that in treaty.

With Military Drummers, Tilly's Discipline and Inca Road building their speed is 6.75, exactly the same as a hussar!! RankNine: French Econ-What is their Counter? This here is where the power of Guild Artisans comes in; with 20 Settler Wagons from Mills and 60 Normal Villies, for 100 Pop. (basically the same as most other Civs) you get 115 Villies worth of Eco. So, you can support the same sized army but getting more recourses at the same time. RankNine:
