so this other day i was playing a 2 vs2  with spangopola on my team. i was dutch, he was india. my opponents were japanese and french.

anyway getting to the point, the french guy coureur rushed me and failed so he was out of the picture. then, the japanese guy started massing yumis. i, being dutch, was only in age 2 so i made skirms. the thing that surprised me was that skirms could stand up to his yumis.

my question is this: do skirms counter yumis cost-effectively? whats their ROF?

Anyway archers are usually better against all(this includes skirms) than skirms units 

Skirms are better(because of arsenal upgrades you can research)against heavy infantry.

You should note that japanese units have quite good stats but become very strong with cons,wonders,daymo/shogun.

You should have done hussars.

Wait for patch and cav should trash them,no longer ri battles i hope.

Skirmishers can hit and run Yumi.  Skirmisher are better then yumi because they have longer range.  But what a nooby france rushed with his vills wow lol.

you cant hit n run a unit that got just 2 range difference, its not possible, minimum range for a decent micro is 4...

its the same that you would micro mantlets with muskeeters...

They have the same rate of fire of a skirm and are different from vanilla and twc archers,basiccaly they can hit and run.

totally agree here, since yumis got 4 more attack than skirms, but got just 1.5 bonus to HI and arent affected by CIR (though still you cant get CIR with japan)
