Words of Wisdom
Every week, I will post ten phrases of wisdom to share with you all. I'm trying to make a book out of them, but I need 10,000 of them first. How else would I make 10,000 Words of Wisdom? - The man who conquers the world, begins by conquering himself
- The king who boasts of having impenetrable walls is always the first to fall.
- Do not attempt to fool the elephant, for he never forgets.
- A man of many talents begins as a man without talent.
- Generally speaking, a crowd is less intelligent than an individual.
- A mob will follow whomever chooses to take the lead.
- A competition is a comparison of skill, not a house of boastfulness.
- He who is blinded by faith shall be deaf to the truth.
- The child who touches the fire will be wiser than the child who is told not to.
- A conqueror is nothing but a murderer with a title.
Reflect on these and try to apply their philosophies to your life. You will find that they will make you a better person. I'll add ten more next week.

No Laz, here you forget the fundamental difference between, Sol and Agecom, in Sol things slowly fall into the darkness of the second page of general discussion, but here at Agecom posts first get about three spamy posts and then slowly fall into the darkness of the second page of general discussion.
JimnCurt:Wow... This thread is full of stereotyping and generalisations.

" There is no reason why good cannot triumph as often as evil. The triumph of anything is a matter of organization. If there are such things as angels, I hope that they are organized along the lines of the Mafia. "

Re: Words of Wisdom
11. War is terrifying, but necessary for a civilization to survive. 12. What was true for Rome is true for all of humanity; we must expand or die. 13. From dust the Earth formed, to dust it shall return. 14. The journey down the mountain is always faster than the climb to the top. 15. The owl can see all around himself, but not all at once. 16. The deaf man cannot hear the music, but he can still enjoy the opera. 17. The plant derived of sunlight will grow until it is too tall to support itself. 18. Mankind has created countless gods, but never a lasting peace. 19. The man who is called crazy is usually the more creative than his peers. 20. The brave man fights only battles he can win, the fool fights battles he will surely loose. I'll add more next Monday.

Re: Words of Wisdom
Would others be able to add wise words? I have a few.
"Never go to success, but let moderation be your guide." ~ Cicero
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." ~ Plato
"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion." ~ the Dalai Lama
"All speech is vain and empty unless it be accompanied by action." ~ Demosthenes
"I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. Weve created life in our own image." ~ Professor Stephen Hawking
"I don't want someone shoving his views down my throat, unless they are covered in a crunchy candy shell" ~ Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report, May 2, 2006
Also, I disagree with number 11.
