Re: Ottoman DM Sratagies
I dont use ottos much at all... But do what you do with every european civ in DM: Build 3 TCs, and get cheyenne and comanche techs. Send 3 vills to build a church, 1 to houses, 1 to stables and 1 to artillery foundries (not necessary barracks, since you can train just 1 unit in em, also jans arent so good counter for cav, better use cav archers, also your cav will spawn instantly). Set TC that each incooming vill goes to gather resources. Get the upgrade of the church of 1500 coin for 2000 experience and send this cards in the next order:
Fast creation of buildings
Fast creation of cavalry Fast creation of artillery Factory Factory.

Ottomans
Ok this is a weird civ with an even weirder build order. Ottos as they are called are known for their wonderful cannon spamming abilities. Their main troop is called the Janissary, which is basically a pumped up musketeer. It is actually quite a good troop, the problem is you have to make like 10 barracks to get enough of them out in time to do enough damage. This is because ottos have no fast infantry. Basically and otto player has to maximize their eco while making sure they have control of the filed so the opponent cannot eco as well as them. The ottos eco is one of the slowest in the game this being because of their slow training villagers and the fact that they train by them selves. This means that if your pop is full they simply don’t come out. I guess they make up for this by being completely free, but I still find my self in a long game with full pop at like 32 villagers (simply not enough to really help). Ok their build order is, 1 vill on 10 houses, 1 vill on 10 houses, 3 vills on a stable then separate and get field control, 1 vill on a church then join houses vills. The card order is, fast cavalry, church imp, battle field construction, fast cannon, 2 t.c’s, cheap jans (janissary), mercenaries or factories, improvements. Now to get your buildings use the 15 janisary option from your church now and then when battle field construction comes use your janissaries new found ability to make, 5 art foundries, 7-10 barracks, map control. You will then need your villagers to tower up your base. The troop composition is, 70% abus gun, 25% jans and cavalry archers (depending on the game.), 5% cannon. One simple statement here don’t use too many great bombards or falcs. Ok finally the battle field tactics. This is pretty plain and simple use your cannon and abus to kill their infantry while your cavalry archers and jans take care of the cavalry. Finally if they also spam cannon use hussars and train culverins to take them out. Ok guys those are my ottos they aren’t great but you will probably beat a lot of noobs with them.
I take no credit for it

Re: Ottoman DM Sratagies
Well what I base my play with Otto's is on this build order, this is just the base so try varying every game finding ways it will suit you more. Start off sending 3 vills building military buildings, 2 on church 1 on houses. Once the church (mosque) is finished use that improvement everyone should use @ church and the church builders will start helping with the houses. Always send explorer to build TP's. Only vital cards are fast art, fast cav, advanced church card and then just decide from factories, 2 TC's, 4 Outposts, Unit upgrades etc. Then for military just start making Jans as soon as you can, but dont exess use them as they can be easilly countered. Bring in some Abus, Cav Archers, around 2 Bombards then just base the other half of your army depending on your opponent. Remember on GP Indians are so useful, especially as otto as they have enough wood, only problem is if its a very competitive game and your running low on wood at this point it would be better to preserve as much possible as you'd rather have Vills on food/gold than on wood. Everyone says map control is vital for Otto's but after winning a Major after being pushed to around 25% of the map, turning the game around was hard but after he seemed in such a stronger position and having a 108 HC level compared to mine of level 11. It was a very good game and in the end I ended up winning because of Micro-ing.

Re: Ottoman DM Sratagies
No im totally *** lol, I even lost to Stowe And I've lost a corp.....But I won you Just hope more people start playing DM, its much more fun than both SP and TR and you can't just be slow or anything, you lost advantage and your trampled by 5 canons 50 skirms and 60 Ruytters. They should atleast make a DM - TR, I mean, spend 50mins setting up your eco, upgrading your units etc, or 5-10mins and all of that is done. Probably lead to less laggy treaty games and also will invite many new players to play proper DM.
