    hello

     i played age of empires for years now, i quitted it like 7months ago but today i wanted to install it again. I have windows vista but never had problems with playing or installing games.

    when i startup the installation it all shows with ids_(name)

    error 1305 reading from file c:\\program files\microsoft games\age of empires 3\avi\age3.bik verify that the file exists and that you can access it

     product_name warning! are you sure you want to cancel? - roll back action

    feature transfer error => error: -1603 fatal error during installation. consult windows installer help (msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

    i already did boot, ccleaner, %temp% remove, made new profile

    it is NOT a copy or illegal

    i did everything what they suggest but nothing works, can it be that my cd is broken? cuze i hear my cd is turning harder when it get to that fault.

     i found what the actual problem was sorry for double post but if someone has this problem let the disk repair in a shop or somewhere. i just did it and it all back works just need to install the patch for vista

    hello!

    wow you are the first one who has a solution to this problem i think! I have the same problem, can you tell me how to fix this!!

    i don't think my cd is broken because i can install it correctly on a other computer with XP, but maybe it's the patch?

    Which patch is it, and should i install the patch before i install AoE3? (i downloaded the vista patch but when i try to install the patch it says: 'There seem to be a problem with your game installation, you may try to reinstall the game' thats it.....)

    help me pls! :D
