On the little booklet that came with the CDs, It said Spanish is the easiest and Ottomans are the hardest to play.

But i heard many posts about Ottoman actually being probably the most easiest to play and stuff.

In Your Opinions, What do you think the Difficulty order is??

ottomans are the hardest to play thats true but in my opinion the easiest is the french 

in my opinion russian very easy to play and maybe ports hardest

this comes from a guy who rushes a lot so before u start disagreeing with me think.(im not saying u cant rush with ports btw)

There's no way that Dutch are the third easiest to play, settlers cost coin, meaning aging from discovery is more complicated than other civs. Then you have decide how many banks to build, aswell as keeping settlers constant despite having to make skirms, which are quite expensive for a colonial infantry unit.

I would say Portuguese are one of the hardest, microing your amy aswell as keeping constant settlers from three TCs.

british are very difficult to play when you reach the higher levels of play because you need to keep your idle vills down to a minimum so you need to shift click almost every vill and house so that vills know where to go when the house is done. I have a very hard time playing british at the highest lvls and i am 2200 elo

I like how i recently i posted saying i was 2150 elo and you say your 2200 elo and were the same :p

Anyway,

I do agree british are hard to play because they get so many vills and you need to have a place for them all to gather safely and they go idle a lot and it does get very difficult.

but at low levels they are easy, as are french and ottoman.

For me russia is EXTREMELY easy to play as, IMO no skill required. (almost)

the booklet is right if you're a total age of empires 3 newbeginner.

what most people here seem to wright, is the best civ down to the worst, or a mix of that and the easiest civ down to the hardest, for noobs.

French are the easiest, no question. Basically they're just stronger and more flexible then the Spanish.

Ottos can be more difficult - you have to watch your houseing and everything, or else you don't get the villie when it pops out. They are also more specialized, meaning less flexibility.
