Whenever I try to start up AOEIII using the desktop shortcut, it comes up with an error saying that the shortcut does not work. Then, whenever I try to start it from the CD, it comes up with an error saying that it cannot find the game. I installed the game on an external hard drive, so I checked all the connections. Then I went into the folder where I installed it. It then came up with another error saying that it cannot open the DATAP.BAR file. Can anybody help me??
PS: the drive is a very previous model of this line.
Well, whenever I try to start from the CD, its trying to open the game form drive E:, but the external drive is showing up as drive G: in 'My Computer'. Could that be part of the problem?
