    Subject: Random Map Script problem!! Please help!!!

    hi!!

    i've been playin this game for years and always wanted to download a map from those forums where you get hundreds...

     i just want to play these custom maps in the skirsmish mode for single player, not online, and i dont want to create or edit any maps at all..

     except every time i download the map -(trying to download the "Winter Wonderland" one here)- and extract the files to  My Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\RM folder, the files which are either XS or XML files aren't working and don't look the same as the other maps...

    so when i go to skirmish and try out the "custom map" button, nothin happens but that dumb ol screen that says "you hav none loaded"!!!

     

    please help anyone, n i will b eternally grateful

    Hi chuck hows things. I will give you the map online, when you see me on ask me for the Winter Map and i will invite you.

    thanks a lot mate, but i cant really play online these days (other problems with internet...)

    i just need to know if theres a way to fix the prob so i can download random maps for singleplayer anytime, if possible

    Hey,

    If you ever read this, here is my suggestion:

    You probably stuck it in the wrong RM folder, check your list of regular maps to see if it is there, if not, make absolutely certain it is in My Documents>My Games>Age of Empires 3>RM  (or RM2 if in TWC, RM3 if in TAD)
