Hey guys,

 I tried to install AoE 3. First it went all well actually, i could play the game and so on. But when I tried to install Asian Dynasties, it says AoE3 is not installed.

I think AoE3 didn't install correctly on my computer, because in the install menu the buttons and everything else is named something like IDS_INSTALLNEXT instead of just 'Next' .

Also the game is named 'PRODUCT_NAME'  in my programs list instead of just 'Microsoft Games Age of Empires 3'

I tried reinstalling, still the same. The demo of AoE3 has the same problem. I am running on Windows Vista 32. I really s*cks because i just bought Asian Dynasties today and now i can't play! :(

 can someone help?

Unistall all of aoe3

Delete the Files in My Docs.

Make sure that the file is deleted in the (C) Drive

Program Files

Micorsoft Games

Age of Empire (delete)

Then Reinstall the game and hopefully it will be installed right

i did, but this also happened the first time i installed AoE3, so it couldnt be a bad install

 i first thought it's my graphics drivers, i updated everything now and everything from my graphics card works fine now, but the problem is still there.....*sigh*

download windows install cleanup from microsoft.com and totally wipe out aoe3. Once you do that install the game again and tad, it will work.

there is a download button somewhere there. Click it and download the program. 

how can this work? This also happened the very first time I installed aoe3, when my computer never touched anything with aoe3.

the problem can't be old files.
