    Subject: If you just purchased AOE3 Gold pack, please read

    There is currently a problem with AOE3 Gold CD-Keys, preventing players from creating ESO accounts.  Players receive a [100] Bad CD-Key error when they try to create an account.

    The problem is on our end, the server is not recognizing the cd-keys. We are working to get this fixed as soon as we can, given that is a major problem.  We currently do not have an ETA on this, but I will keep the community updated on a timeframe.

     Essentially new cd-keys were issued which do not have corresponding hashes in our database, so our servers rejects them as Bad CD-Keys, even though they are legitimate.

    If you are receiving a [101] Cannot Create More Accounts with this cd-key error, that is because your cd-key is Valid, but was already used to create an account.  You will need to purchase a new, unused copy of AOE3 to create a new account. That error is not caused by this problem.

    Wow, ive got a work colleague whos ordered AOE3 Gold from Amazon a few days ago... (after showing him the trial).

    Hopefully he'll play the campaign first and not try to register on ESO!

    i bought a gold pack the one with aoe3 and expansion 3 months ago and it was fine.

    Will it be fixed today since eso id down due to  (Servers down for maitnence 6/26/09)

    so does that mean when ther servers come back up when ever that is it will be fixed or ddo we have to buy a new one

    My friend is still getting 100 error, so that server maintenance does not seem to be correlated with this error (or failed to solve the problem).

    The server maintenance did not affect this issue, which we are still working to resolve.

    I'm sorry but this is just ticking me off when will this issue be fixed. I mean guys if you cant fix this issue pull the gold packs of shelfs and offer refunds back to people. I defently can say that ES guys would have knocked out this problem by now allredy but having any support even robot e. is better then none at all.

    So your saying that if I purchased a NEW shrink wrapped unused game and I get an error 101 that I need to buy ANOTHER copy if I want to play online?

    ok...so maybe your "tool" to collect data on OOS and map hack is not working either....

     

    check it out....

     

    btw...better have it fixed soon...my new CD from MS is on its way.....
