    Subject: HELP!!!!!! HOT AIR BALLOON ATTACK!!!!!
    When I play against these guys, they send a hot air balloon over and bomb every wonder and building I have.  None of my units or artillary will attack it.  How do I shoot it down??????    HELP!!!!!!

    ive never heard of bombing hot air balloons and i cant do them myself
    Mantlets first are wood heavy units, and die fast from ranged inf..

    Probably they used monitors: a ship that can fire a powerfull long range shot about every minute. The ballon was there just to spot targets.

    The only defense against monitors is building enough ships to control the sea.

     

    The ballon itself is just a reconnaissance unit, which can not attack (but can't be attacked either).

    A person with good tactics can never defeat a person who knows the principles of tactics.

    I've been playing amazonia, and my TC and wonders are all the way at the top.  The monitors can still hit with that range??

    Monitor's long-range attack has 100 range. It should easily reach any point on Amazonia.

    at first i thought this was a bad joke and didn't laugh.

    but then it turned out to be serious, and i imagined the guy looking at his screen seeing hot air baloons and then an explosion underneath them, being like 'WTFH4X'
