What on earth is a Coyote Runner really and what is the best thing to beat them with on age 2? They kick my butt every time because I don't know they are good and weak at. Any help would be great, thank you.

Cluster Bomb the enemy, that will take care of things.

a Coyote Runner is an Aztec unit available in age II that looks like infantry, but is in fact cavalry. to counter it, use anti-cavalry (would have to be pikemen or musketeers if you're both in the second age). Coyote Runners are strong against RI, such as archers and skirmishers.

if you dont know the Aztecs units inside and out, you'll find it very hard to play against them, seeing as alot of their units have weird bonuses and roles, such as bowmen that slaughter artillery (Arrow Knights).

Personally I don't get too concerned with getting a counter wrong when I see an otto barracks.

Yeah, they are very hard to understand. So I guess I'll make pikemen next time I'm rushed by Coyote Runners.

Cayote Runners are not calvary, they are light infantry.

aztec are very weird and unique. Jags counter muskets, cav, and have large seige. ERK counter cav with a ranged attack, like a musk/goon mix. Arrow knights kill artillery and have a large range. Coyote runners are cav that lose to cav. puma are pikes, mace are skirm/bows, skull knights are like doppels.

sexy game soon to be released^ clicky!

cayotes are more like light infantry(like calvary but not, no horse, and classified as light infantry) that lose to most heavy infantry's hand to hand formation(melee), cav works well against them too.

Light infantry is pseudo cav, counter same units and get countered by same units. Coy do fine against most cav considering cost/population.

yes true but light infantry non the less =p, anyways your right about the cav, they do fine vs most when you consider cost and pop, I would stick with using heavy infantry in melee formation for the most effective counter.
