Hi guys,

 Just looking for opinions really. Strategy question on 2v2 NR40 NB.

You (1st lieut) and ptnr (2nd lieut) vs lance corp and priv (played 4, won 3, prob a reset account)

3 seconds to go and your dutch partner drops. Possibly a friend of other 2 as I was last to join game but hey, im not suggesting a cheater(!)

What do you do? What would you do?

I went for the stronger player at the time, with 120 army. Went for the lance and tried to take him out quick, hoping that the priv was a complete idiot and would attack me with little/nothing. The private was a russian and planted forts, threw out halbs and musks, got into my base and nailed me, whilst I was chewing portugese villies. Port hung on and a 2v1 with my walls looking like swiss cheese I quit.

Should I have deleted all villies (130K unspent) and went full tilt? Should I have taken weaker player first? Should I just have bloody quit at the start!! Should I have hunted down my partner and stuck his head on a stick? What would you have done?

Well I have to ask a few questions first:

Did you have spies?

What civ were you?

Why are you a 1st leiut playing a lance and private? What's wrong with you? 

i dont play against l/cpls and privates unless my partner is one and im a sergeant...

but yeah, what the guy said in the first reply.

Hey, I dont mind admitting Im partial to a noob bashing now and again! Who isnt!!

Anyways, it was random teams and thats the way it landed. I wasnt going to quit when I drew the 2nd lieut, was I?

I was chinese, yep, had spies. I definately should have deleted villies I think and used the 70 pop for russians and 150 for ports, that may well have worked.

2v1 is always a long shot...but china was probably the best civ to beat those civs IMO
If your res count was high, might of been worth killing villies and fighting, but if they didnt quit eventually you would drain...resource with no villies drains alot faster than people think...

Sorry? Did I miss something? who mentioned 99 villies? I had 119??

Ill break it down.. regardless whether I have 99 or 119, when I delete THEM ALL, Ill have 220 pop for army... 70 for russian and 150 for portugese?

I must have missed where I mentioned 99 villies.

Ricester for all I care you deserved that. Thats just rediculous. Fighting in a 1v2 would only be worthwhile in the situation your in. fighting anything sarg and above on the same team versus one would destroy you. You probably got your rank from noob bashing though.

"for all I care", I Dont! Ive no idea who you are and you dont know me either, why make such daft comments like the one above? Quite clearly Hidan is having a laugh. You seem to take this very seriously though, so Ill break it down.

 I play ANYONE. I dont discriminate. Ill play privates, Ill play colonels. It doesnt matter. I enjoy the different challenges each game brings. I dont care if im in a team full of noobs, I dont care if Im playing with pros. I play the game because I enjoy playing it. Noobs NEED to play people better than them, how else will they get any better??

In Treaty I used to be lvl 34. I play for fun though, as should everyone. When a few of my friends got the game, I teamed with them. I dont give a crap about losing to "worse" players, if they are better than me then fine, its cool, I can take a defeat. And I did, Im now a 1st lieutenant. It doesnt bother me though, cos my 2 pals are now master serg and 2nd lieutenant. Through me playing with them they have become better players which makes the game more competative overall, for everyone, enhancing all concerneds' experience of the game.

Cant stand when people say "I dont play against privates" or "Your rankings too high, im not playing you". How dull this game would be if everyone took that attitude.
