    Subject: Datapy.BAR !!!!! HELP

    why do i get this. i had Napoleonic era installed on my TAD disk and wen i uninstalled it everytime i try to load TAD it says "failed to load DATAPY.BAR"  Tongue Tied wat should i do ????

    Napoleonic Era is a 3rd party mod that has caused many, many problems.

    Completely uninstall Age3 and all of it's expansions, delete the My Documents\My Games\Age of Empires III folder and then try reinstalling.

    If you get that error on reinstall, try gently cleaning the disc and trying again.

    It usually means you have a scratched disc.

    is it fake?

    i have downloaded it and it destroyed my games

    is it something that Microsoft have maked?

    or is it just some guys that maked it for fun?

    Clean the Disc with Crest toothepaste, it makes a scratched/dirty disc work every time. (Yes, I'm serious.)

    Peanut butter works amazing for any disk, DVDS/PC GAMES/CD/PS GAMES/XBOX GAMES/ETC

    Ok I just have to say how does any of this comply to the real problem it most likely is not the disk being scrached lol... it most likely has to do with when he uninstalled ne (Napoleonic Era) he deleted an important file which is known to most people as DATAPY.BAR now i have the same problem and if sombody doesn't start giving real anwsers we may never play TAD agian enough with this toothpaste and peanutbutter crap and give real awesers Please GIVE REAL AWESERS NEXT TIME!!!!!!
    Another thing the forums are for people who have questions for games not so people can send SmartA** replys like you guys

    how about you try reinstalling, if you've deleted a file? After you uninstall and before you reinstall, make sure you delete your age of empires III directory to delete any folders leftover from mods. Your directory could be in one of several places, depending on your game distrobution method:

    steam: c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\bin\age of empires 3\
    Retail/gfwl: c:program files\microsoft games\age of empires III\

    add (x86) to program files if your system is a 64-bit system.

    Also, toothepaste is dumb, like I was two years ago. If you're cleaning a disc, use windex or a similar glass cleaner. And I apologize for the bad grammar/capitalization, I'm on my phone while on vacation.

    And I don't about you, but most people probably don't spend their vacations trying to help people who they've never met who start out by yelling at them.
