Unit A kills Unit B
Would anyone be interested in helping me collect (or find) some information regarding how many "hits" it takes for 1 unit to kill another unit type?
There used to be a thread that covered a lot of this information and I'm almost positive a complete list exists somewhere on one of these Age forums (Heaven, Sanct, etc)
An example would be:
Xbow kills Jan in 16 shots
Skirmisher kills Musketeer in 6 shots
Uhlan kills Villager in 4 hits
etc..
This is great information for improving everyones micro.. If you know exactly how many skirmishers it takes to kill a musketeer, for example, you can prevent a lot of "over kill" or "underkill" and be much more efficient..
Anyone willing to put some research into figuring this stuff out?

I don't think this is the right approach. If you have n different units, then you would have to remember/write data for n*n different pairs. It is much easier to remember/write attack, hit points and resistance values for each unit: then it is easy to calculate the number of hits required to kill:
Number of hits for a unit A to kill B is:
hits[A->B]=hitpoints[ B ]/(attack[ A ]*(1-resistance[ B ]))
A person with good tactics can never defeat a person who knows the principles of tactics.

You don't have to remember/write data for each pair.. Just the ones that are pertinent to you. Besides that, the only units which you would really pay attention to are the units likely to be used against one another... Like, why bother remembering Dopps to Muskets, for example?
However, how many Xbows it takes to kill a Jan, or how many Hussars/Uhlans it takes to kill a villie in 1 hit is much more commonly used info.
