    Subject: Age of Empires on Windows 7

    Lately... I have the Age 3 Windows version, I installed it on my new PC with Windows 7..

    it has tow error's messages:

    1.-THIS PROGRAM DOSEN'T SUPPORT THE ''WINDOWS AERO'' THEME.

    I click Accept and Then...

    2.-THIS PROGRAM STOP'S WORKING

    On my other computer (wich i sell) the game runned PERFECT well it had windows XP,

    So.. Is it windows 7 or just an game error?

    (I don't know my PC specs.. i don't know were to check them)

    #1.What Windows is trying to tell you that it has to disable the Aero Them  to increase the performance of that program

    #2. You May have to put it in Capability Mode as Windows Vista SP2 or Windows XP or

    do a registry scan

    I dont get why it said the program dosent work.. i put it on low detail.. (ewindows 7) and oppened it

    still, but at the second try... it oppened.

    i tried the Capability Mode as Windows Vista SP2 and so the XP but no results...it says can't find splash.exe but i don't know whats that, can help?

    thats the initial screen. weird that its not there.

    try this from the FAQ

    2. Run the file check utility (see "common issues" section above for more information) to see if core files are valid. If any of the files are not valid, then the safest thing to do in is completely uninstall and reinstall the game and patch directly up to the latest game version.

    kk.. i run the file check utility and it starts running... but when it finish running the file only closes, and it dont give any announcements... what now.. lol, hope any 1 can help =/ and buzz_d ty anyway

    now.. i can play AOE III, but..sometimes it doesnt run the sound or sometimes the video (about the video...the mouse icon glitches) almost all the times is the issue about the mouse

    wait... i found something..."Could not open registry key - HR: Incorrect function."

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\age3.exe - INVALID FILE
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\datap.bar - INVALID FILE

    anyone know if aoe 3 works on a dell e521 stock, with vista?
    All of the Age of Empires games are awesome. I like starcraft aswell.i currently do not have aoe 3, although i will get it soon,i dont have it yet.
