    Subject: Error Unable to find Splash Resources

    I've been trying to start Asian Dynasties after a system restore to a certain date an all a sudden this error came up when i tried to run it. After examining the file i see Age3yLauncher is missing? is there a way to download this file directly because i do not remember my cd key if i were to rein stall..

    RYZON or someone please help me :( 

     

    IS THERE  to get my cd key i used for the current download? because i lost my case and i don't remember it

    Age3yLauncher doesn't exist and shouldn't... age3y doesn't have one for some reason.

    Can you tell me what the exact error is? Splash resources could be the splash application or the image itself...

    Are the splashy.bmp and splash.exe both in your game folder?

    no the splashy.bmp or splash.exe is not there... :( is there a way to download it? and if i do download it should i simply just move the file under AoE 3 folder?

    System restore can do some funky things.  I would suggest just doing a clean re-install of the game .

    Here's something you can try.

    Although I'm not sure what the system restore has changed in your case..If your familiar with the registry at all?.You can try looking in the HKey_Local_Machine category in your registry..It's on the left portion of your registry panel..Expand the tree and look for "software"..Expand the tree again from there and scroll to "Microsoft"..Expand again to "Microsoft Games"..Search for aoe3..If you hilite the key on the left portion of your registry editor?.You will see all the registry entries for aoe3, on the right portion..You should see the pid# there for your game..That is the number you need to re-install your game..Keep in mind..The vanilla version and each expansion that you have installed..Will have it's own pid..So you will need all of them to re-install..Again..I don't know for sure what the system restore has changed?.But hey,  it's worth a try.
