i bought age of empires online from a store here in greece but when i open the game i sign in in games for windows and it says that i need a produkt key .... i type premium greek civilization code and it don't work and then i type exclusive in-game store code and again didn't work what can i do ...= / ?

Invalid product key in-game | Error 0x80070003 when entering LIVE product key in-game

Anyone that purchased the retail version should note that the LIVE Access Code is NOT the same code as the one included in the box

This error message occurs when the game fails to load your LIVE Access Code.  Please follow these steps to resolve this issue:

1. Log into your Games For Windows Marketplace client.
2. Click the Downloads tab.
3. Click the icon for Age of Empires Online.
4. Click View Game Keys.
5. You will see a numerical code under LIVE access code. Enter this code when prompted in-game. 
    If this doesn’t work, follow steps 6-8:
6. Search for Windows Update from the start bar and click Check for Updates.
7. Run any necessary updates and restart your computer. 
8. Run Age of Empires Online again.

you still have the marketplace and downloads tab.  start --> all programs --> Microsoft games for windows marketplace

Can anyone help me please ? I'm in Asia and can't upgrade my account as premium in my game: Age of empires online. I want to upgrade my game for greek premium. Can anyone help me with the CD key or any code or Microsoft point ?

 

I can't buy it with my PayPal, it won't allow my country. I've tried since over a month but can't find any way. I'm just an unlucky girl. Can anyone help please ? I can d some money to your PayPal, if you can make me premium for my Greek siv.

Unfortunately if you are not in a LIVE supported region there is no way at this time to monetize within the game.  There are some avenues being explored to allow more players to get into the game and purchase premium.  I don't have any additional details to provide at this time however.

I'm having the same issue. 

I've just installed all the most recent updates for Windows Update and reran the game.  Nogo.

I've gone to my Games for Windows marketplace and when clicking on the marketplace tab it says "Great games, great prices:  Now on xbox.com". 

I checked my Downloads tab and the only thing available is my Section 8 stuff, which is from awhile back.

 I went to the marketplace - http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-us/PC and can navigate to a screen with AOEO on it, but it lists the 12 addons and will allow me to purchase them, but it has no download button for AOEO itself.  Since I can't download or purchase AOEO itself, there's no way to get it into the download section of my marketplace.

I then skipped over to the forums mentioned above.  The 'ageofempiresonline' forums. I was under the impression that "age of empires community" was all-encompassing as it has no post-designation (such as I, II, III or Online) and this subsection is actually "Age of Empires Online General, but I figured I'd try their forums anyway.

It has less information than this one does. There are the same threads by people saying they can't see a download button, but zero answers from Mods or anyone else involved with GFWL with any kind of response except for one, but that's on how to receive a beta key via email.  This one response with that helpful hint that doesn't actually answer how to download it if you don't see a download button also recommends heading to the GFWL forums.

A search there for all things AOEO returns 3 threads. Crafting, special launch offers and buying ingame items.   Searching for Age of Empires Online returns one, which is a large group of people saying the game has been telling them they're banned and speculation that it's because the servers are down.  It's an old thread.

Poking around there has lead to me being advised to go to the xbox forum...

 ...and to really take it all to the next level, the last recommendation was to come back HERE to search for answers.

I can totally understand the frustration I'm seeing from people that are simply asking how to download the game to get the key only to be told either some flippant "click the download button!" type answer or being run around 4 different forums to find some elusive answer.

With all that said, how do I download AOEO from this marketplace page

When for me there is no download button showing?  Because without that, apparently, I'm unable to play the game despite having downloaded it already.

Same exact problem as both skid and colephusion. I too have wasted hours looking for and applying 'fixes' that don't work. Simply put the AOE game does not appear on the marketplace so you cannot find your code with which to activate an account. Then when you try to download from the marketplace as stated as a fix there is no option to download the actual game, only the 12 addons.

I have been pissed off to no end with this and it's one more nail in the GFWL coffin for me, I tried to get the game working via steam but once again you must use your GFWL ID. We need a fix asap.

The crazy part is that my machine is on the same network as my sons. those machines run through the same router.  My sons e-mail addresses, IDs and profiles are tied to their installs and everything works fine. I can use their IDs on my machine and everything works fine, the game is playable.  But I can't use my profile.  This means...it is not a networking or setup issue.  It is a profile issue.  If there was a way to manually download the game into the profile...it would work.  I went into marketplace and downloaded tinker.  Tinker was playable and the profile was updated with Tinker.  AOEO still does not show up in the profile...we need to be able to manually add AOEO to our profiles to fix this issue...
