Japan Rush
I hear people talk about an Ashigaru/Yamabushi Rush. Almost all of my games as Japan are boom games, having to heavily out micro the mass of units that come at me during a Rush. I can get the basic Idea of this rush, but what choices does one make exactly, in order to execute this correctly?
First Card? 2 vill, Kami, or 300 wood? Around how many villagers do you age with? What Wonder do you choose? (Every game I choose Big Shrine, but for a rush is this still the best choice, I am guessing it is in order to help mass Yamabushi? After aging what is your first card? 300 export (to then be able to choose Japan for 25 export instead of 100) and for more Yamabushi, or do you want to send 600 wood for shrines, consulate, rax, or one of the unit shipments and if so which one? What size force do you want to go in with, and who is this best to do against? I would guess FF/Boom civs or possibly Japan Mirror games.....

Re: Japan Rush
first card highly depends on ur own decision i norm send 2 vils but most people wouldn't age with 14-15 vils age with torii gates so taht u get a barracks first card after aging should be 5 ashi or 5 yumi

Re: Japan Rush
I thought you said you didn't lame with japan, but right you continually playing with them, and asking questions about them. Almost a third of your games, you are playing japan. I would say that this is evidence that you are a huge japanese lamer. I am looking forward to playing you. I think most of your stats are higher then they should be.

Well Vancebla,(lol here we go again) I do not lame with Japan....If I lamed with Japan I would shrine boom and spam Ashi like every other Japanese player that lames them.....I do neither of those things, as I look for unique way to play them....The other thing we settled on the last forum which you agreed with is that you have to play Japan in order to mirror well vs other Japan player... And sometimes Japan is a good pick vs certain civs and strategies... And if I play a third of my games as Japan that would mean that I am using them 33% of the time....That is hardly being a lamer considering how many Japan players there are out there...The reason I am asking so many questions is that they are one of the most unique civs to use with a lot of options.... Stats speak for themselves...I am what they say....If anything my win percentage is lower than it should be...and the same with my rank....Why would you say the opposite....As we also realized on the last forum, I started playing as a complete noob on AD having never played nilla or WC... So of course I lost a ton, and took forever to get good unlike people who switched from nilla and WC and started owning people right off the bat....

Thanks for the post, but this isn't the Yamabushi/Ashi Rush I was asking about...I can play a regular game with Japan... What I was wondering is if anyone knows anything about this specific rush I have heard talked about...

Also Lance. You win percent is like 58? or something, and you say it is to low? lol, if your win % is over 50 or so, you are a noob basher. You don't play games, unless the teams are fair, or are in your favor. If i wanted to, i could easily get 70% win percentage, but i would have to noob bash, which i don't ever do.

Re: Japan Rush
:/ mine are in my sig, 69 and 66
i don't noobbash. i just never played a lot of rateds and never reached my top rank on TAD. on nilla there just is no competition.
SO, a win pct above 50 doesn't mean noobbasher, maybe 65+, but you have to have over 200 games too then.

Re: Japan Rush
Now you are accusing me of being a noob basher???? since when is 58% a noob basher.... Look at most of the experts...Their win percentage is around 80%...Do you really think they are noob bashers?
58% just means I win more than I lose by 8% is that that hard to believe Vancebla????????

Re: Japan Rush
Win percentage is not a very good indicator of noob bashing. I only play people 5 pr lvls higher or lower than I, and i have a 64% win.
And being below captain and having 300+ games just means you are not great at this game but love to play it. You may not believe it but some people play AOE3 to have fun....
