This thread shouldnt be about civilizations, economy, speed of game, unit building speed, etc. This is only focused on unit. What do you think what is the dominating unit in the game? You can talk abou taking pop, cost effectiless(or something), attack, hp, resistance, range, bonuses (I mean fully upgraded unit). In my opinion it is Ironquois Mantlet - in WC has 1040 hp, 62 at, and 50% resistance. His only disadvantage is little range - 10 range.

i think cannons are the most op unit , if u not count walls(specially with aztec wall dance) 

Definately Mortars. Very High dam against buildings. A group of 5 can destroy a town center or fort with one shot each. The only drawback is that they can't fire at infantry so be sure you have a line of musketeers in front of them.

rabaulds absolutely dominate, your enemy infantry will be absolutly destroyerd without hope and enemy with no infantry left will be like sandbox to defeat

I would have to go with the Rocket- It's good against virtually any unit except culverins.

If I had a situation where I had to choose one single unit out of the entire game, it would have to be a FU Japanese Monk with the trickle card. When FU, they can heal, train native allies, and build TCs and shrines with trickled resources. They can also stealth and sabotage buildings.

Hi i am new in forum, please dont kill me. You might laught but in my opinion its strelet, when updated ultimately with certain bonuses its perfect for drive enemy to lack of resourses.

My almoust always working tactic with russians is:

-Steady grow of economy

-Strong defence and much updates

-Ultimate strelets and (update to make them faster)

- Enemy starts attacking, my blochouses shoot them and i just make cheap strelets (resousers arent even near to finish) constantly, he attack and attack but these masses of litle devils wont even let them walk throuhg. They are meat wall almost.

-He keeps attacking cause afraids my counter attack.

-He`s economy grows very slowly.

-Maybe littlebit nasty mortals next his walls to *** up his farms etc. He usually starts pulling his troops.

-My economy has grown fast (i say it again but i only constantly spawn cheap strelets)

-I have weakened enemy by ONLY defencing maybe an hour and half!, then i getbored and attacked (at this point he was lot weaker, at start he was littlebit stronger).

Not to be confused with the myth unit troll, which does pierce damage; accessible to the norse civilizations in Age of mythology.

They may not be the strongest but Musk are the best all-rounder. They can tackle any other unit that not good against inf (There are a lot of units but that is besides the point) (Pop taken into account of course)

 

Before you comments Jans Japaneses and Indian musketeers are strictly speaking still musk's.

or 9k HP if you use team wall upgrade card 50%  

 

my fav unit is organ really decent when upgraded on anything but not really worth it to send them alone ... mix them with goons make it really usefull and tough to beat
