Well, as german player i have problems dealing whit this two civs, mostly otto. so i'm asking for help because i'm semi-noob player and what are german toughest match ups? 

p.s. i play nilla

Against otto: scout to see what he's making, and check his deck (press f6 and click on opponent's flag). If you see him going jans (which is most likely) you should do either single or double rax xbow (if going double rax, first card in colonial should be 700 wood for houses n stuff) Then if he goes to abus, you have to adapt as well, switch to uhlan, or age up get war wagons/skirm, w/e works. You should scout around 4 min to see what he aged up with, and what his first card is to make sure he isnt ff-ing. If he's ffing, I wouldnt be too worried about anything of his but cannons (as dopples will shred apart his spahi/mams, and u can send black riders to clean em up). Its tough to be agressive against otto, personally i feel like most civs must react to what otto is doing (i guess you could say that for every match up though really). But xbow > jan, u just have to micro, making a wall at a choke point will help a LOT (on great plains there's always that little lake and a tp  that makes a choke point

Againt Dutch: I think tower rush is viable, (collect 250 in transition, send a SW out near enemy base to make tower, age up 400 wood.. etc). even just making a fb or even dual rax xbow spam will give the dutch troulbe, if you can keep him off food early, thats huge, and with free uhlans, its harder for dutch, because although the uhlan wont kill all the skirm, they will slow them down so that your xbow can get many shots on the skirm, and the skirm cant just hit n run. you could do cav start too, but watch out for the dutch ff- ryuter spam, if you see no military buildings or military at like 6 minutes, he's prob 3-bank ff-ing or something, so go ahead and send 700 gold and age up yourself, and make skirm to counter his ryuter, etc. 

Xbow Pike vs Dutch is viable. Dunno how Dutch plays on nilla, if they stay colonial you must remember to mix in uhlans in time. If they fortress then you must be very aggresive. 

On TAD you can also Uhlan semi vs Dutch and do pretty well. Dunno if Dutch is too fast on nilla and totally denies that though. 

When facing either otto or dutch as german you have to use the uhlans from your first age 2 shipment very well. if you can get a few vills from the otto, then it will help a ton. It wont help quite as much against dutch but still some. I would generally use the uhlans to help kill his skirms instead of raiding.

Also against dutch you should go a little more heavy on uhlans if you can because if theyre in colonial the only anticav they have is pikes

Hi, i'm a colonel ingame. As german vs otto you can fast fortress with 15-16 vils. Select the 6 skirms. Dont forget to make a tp while advancing to colonial. Now this matchup is onesided. A good otto players will always win vs a good german player. Jan rush is hard to knock off as german. If you play on maps where the bases are to close to eachother. You should stay in colonial, early boom with 3 wagon (=6vil = best shipment) and early mass xbow with some pike/doppels. Doppels probably would be best cos gold is faster grinded than wood. Your second shipment should be 700w or 9xbow + 2uhlan. Watch recs on rts-sanctuary, filter on otto vs german v1.14 and pr 33+.
