Hi,

this is a question to all good Brit players like LordStefanIII, Milky, Storm etc...

How do you guys play your Brit mirrors, do you just try to push with musk/gren/art(/huss)(+nats) or do you transistion to a longbow/musk/art(+nats) combo when you played the lb card?

That is something I can help you with.
The combination is Imperial Grenadier/Imperial King's Life Guard/Imperial Rockets/Imperial Longbow/ Legendary Natives.  You don't need the Imperial Redcoats because you have the Natives with you that stops the horse charges, might want some Imperical Culverins with your army as well I typcially drop 12 villagers to have three Imperial Culverins.

i stopped using lbow in brit mirrors after milky beat me without using them about a year ago.   im not saying no lbow is the best way to play.... but i dont think i lost a single brit mirror after i copied milkys strat.  i think.... if i if i played longer and brit players kept evolving and improving.... i evenntually would incorporate 10-15 lbows into my composition... at the back of my army at all times to deal with native melee units.   but im not sure.  right now if you have godly macro, huss muskgren art nat is super strong and compositions heavier on lbow cant beat it.  tho if your macro sucks then you are pretty much forced to use lbow and wall etc defensive play

 

BUT IDK IM RILLY BAD AND NOOB

Your right Skhsri, macro is economy and micro is how you control your units in battle, example: Using a culv to shoot a organ gun. that would be microing the better you micro the better you get. You should try to macroing  you'll be surprised by its effects = you get a better economy

But what about cowing? Is that macro too?

 

 ...moving on from the troll, micro is individual actions with the mouse/keyboard, macro is overall maintenance of your eco, the map, your army comp, etc.

Men why u include me? I was always on the losing side whenever I British mirrored either Milky or Storm. But I wasn't that bad, it was the only MU where I could last longer than 5 mins vs "SoulSong" in a 1 vs 1, hehe.

I found longbows don't make a single bit of difference in a British Mirror. Muskets seem to beat them, and the only thing Longbows seem to do is restrict you from pushing. Other MU's you will most likely need them.

I personally always did Musk/Native/Art with very few Hussars. Never really used Grens for anything other than seiging FB's, and very rarely make them apart of my composition. I don't think anyone really consistently makes them in their composition.

I seldom see recordings where brit isnt using nats (so few lbs), so I have a hard time believing that u can push really hard with lbs. It feels like u just have to use musk/gran/huss/cannon with to push, especially on andes. Off andes you end up playing defense most of the time.  Lbs are too defensive; you have to constantly keep protecting them more than any other unit in the game, which really slows you down.

 You should never make an odd number of culverins. That's just common sense.

I would assume that they transition into(use) units to counter the enemy units(obviously). In my dm playing experience, lb goon culv mort is the most commonly used, seems to be the most effective. I suppose it may be different in wall spam games.

i think i used lb once every 100 games... if i took it out of my deck then it wouldn't have made any difference to the way i play :D
