    Subject: Can't get ESO account

    Hi! I got really bored of playing skirmishes with CPU, so I tried to make an account for

    Multyplqyer, but when I made. an account, it just said "failed to create account" over and  Over agein. I can never get it to work. Can someone help please?

    There may be the possibility that you got a CD key for the Windows Live download that was already in use. Another possibility is that you have a previous version of the game installed with an account already created for it and are running that version. A third, I guess, may be that the name you are trying for is already taken.

    Also, remember that you can only create one account per original AOE game; the expansions you have installed will be linked to that account.

    Go to Start and type "cmd" without quotes then "ping eso.com". If you can ping eso.com you can probably connect to it. 

    Another thing is that you may be trying to use a user name and password that is already in use by another player. Here are a couple of places you can go to check the availability of user names.

    Your probably right about the username, but this is my first time, and I have no other account, that's why I'm trying to make this.     Thanks for replying :)

    Are you making the account with the core game, or in one of the expansions?  Make sure you like the core AOE3 game first if you're getting that error.  You  may need to also right click on the shortcut and select "properties" then in the compatibility tab select "Run in compatibility mode for XP SP3" and "Run as Admin".

    so your saying that i should start it with the origional? because i tried that first and it sayed the same thing.........   And also, what shortcut??
