Age of Empires Forums

I bought age3 today and it works fine but I want to play with some people who can't play in the ESO, they don't have the original game so they only can by LAN, I try to play with them but I get Version Mismatch problem.

I have been looking for this in google and I understand it's because the versions, so we both have upgraded the game, the same version and game and it's still the same.

I remember I played some years ago by lan, not original with a guy, we used a program to join LAN and we didn't get the Version Mismatch problem... so I tried the same but it's still the same problem.

I can't play with people that have non-original copies? :c 

Is there any way to have kinda two ages3? the original upgraded and another un-upgraded? xd 

Can you play on Eso? If so it could be a problem on his end, like he changed his game files ect. So technically he has a pirated version of Age of Empires? Perhaps hes using a modified .exe to bypass cd key registration or something similar. If this is the case then you probably won't be able to play.
