Hello all. I am new to this forum and new to AOE III. I've had the game since Christmas but have had difficulty playing it as my computer is a little slow for it yet can get by okay until the map starts filling up with people (then the lagging REALLY gets impossible).
I have a question: When you assemble an army, how do you get your men to stay in place holding their position? For example, if an enemy villager runs by your army, two foot soldiers nearest him take off after him chasing him across the map and away from the army unless you grab them with your curser and tell them to come back. This was a major flaw in the original AOE several years ago, a flaw that AOE II solved by giving you command settings that you use to set your men to attack anything that moves, defend, stand your ground, etc. I find no such commands on AOE III. I am very new to the game, so am I missing something? I looked through the instruction manuel and didn't find anything related to my question.
Thank y'all for any help you can provide.
