Ok i just tried it myself, i hit 16:10, im not realy sure if i should switch consulate to dutch be4 age5 or after u start building the wonder. I did be4 this time. I never play japan because they r lame, so i think when u practice some time on the eco -16 is good, 15:30 would be perfect i gues. Boom played on andes ofcourse.

i would love to see that age up in 16 mins that doesnt disrupt eco for japan civic my japs eco is usually decent and on average time i get 17 mins to 18 mins age 5 depending on the map of course and location of starting tc is always important but in saying that i have played against alot of high ranking jap players and some of them drag out there age 5 in the 20 minute mark so it just depends really

I always have vills spamming out, i made shrine upgrade after i started aging up to age V, i think its better as there r like 30 sec between hitting age IV and starting age V. I did the shrine boom strat, 1 wood card send. i build 1st wonder with 2vills, when i hit age2 i can instantly start aging to age III with 8 vills. When i hit age III i have enough wood for a tc, all market ups done exept 2nd coin (i do it after 1st tc is up). I make the wonder for age IV with 0 vills. No need to waste vills on that, when build i change port to dutchies for bank wagon. Idk what is best; take the bank wagon or w8 till u have the foundations of ur ageV wonder and then switch to dutchies. I have all vills out @17:00

My score was 1973 @40, so imo 1950 -2050 is japans' score, just like spain :) Metis do u perhaps know the export gather rate of a fully upgraded jap civ? say like 65 vill on food 10 on wood? Its hard to guess if i should put export to 5% for a minute or so or not.
