I'm taking out the 1 on 1 mode and making an arena mode, like suggested, where you fight off waves.

sandstorm:so if your making a 3rd person shooter i assume your going to set a low pitch, say 10-30 now keep in mind this will cause lag. also keep in mind players can see through buildings and trees.
Kept in mind.
sandstorm: also try using camera follow unit so that the players character gets followed.

So i've been told, but it's just a little triggering.
Overall, it's pretty boring right now. It's two explorers picking up weapons and shooting at one another.

This may be the wrong place to post this, but I'm working on an AoE3 scenario that is kindof a third person shooter. Well, it is, really. But I'm having trouble with making the 1 vs. 1 mode fun. Any ideas for what you think would make it harder/more entertaining?

May be pushing this a little far, but I'll agree.
You have a good point, but I would suggest that CSO be considered another game mode, like deathmatch and supremacy, and that your ranking would advance seperately, to avoid people making their own custom scenarios that they can win in 5 seconds. Maybe have a timer on it as well where it must ...

Uninstall TWC, reinstall Reyk's, then back up your typetest.xml, then reinstall TWC. That's what I did, and I haven't had any problems with it.
