I dunno, it's kinda been here long time ago, but have you tried http://forum.agecommunity.com/forums/post/64400.aspx ? There are some few tweaks to your user.cfg, that can help in cases with some specific routers.

That's super wiered. I guess you're aging up and get 2000 gold, and think it's for factory.
Anyway, dude, it's NOT normal to get 2k gold instead of a factory wagon. You should have to factories, if you have them in deck!

I'm in exactliy the same situation.
A & B are on one network, connected through the router.
C is on another network, having a static IP adress with no firewall.
Now it works fine, if we unplug the router and one of us join C, but not through the router. A & B are able to play ...

No need to dl DirectX 10, if you have XP. It's for Vista only
