Just my thoughts on this, check to make sure there isn't any weird bandwith limitations on your wi-fi, but yes your best bet is through an ethernet cable

I think you can still play on it but you can't create a new account. Quite a shame. AoM had the best scenarios out of all the games hands down

You can set diplomacy changes in the triggers by having a set off area with a like a flagman who walks up to signs to change it. (Musk can probably tell you how to do that)

I'd personally recommend getting a good headset. Try names like Turtle Beach or Astro Gaming headsets. I recently got the X12's which are only 60 USD and they work really well.
