vancebla u just lost. And as the other stated 58% win percent isnt anything special, it just means he plays the game pretty good.
Btw having a win % under 50 is pretty noobish....

-Good consulate allies (Isolation)
-Daymios(well not the unit itself but b/c they have an shipment point)
-Well rounded military ( ashigouru,naginata,flaming arrows)
-Shrines( you have to pressure them, before their shrine boom kicks)
-Able to send cards twice+ very usefuls cards

Japan is like a upgraded brit. All their units are stronger and their daimyos are a real pain in the hm... bottom? And as somebody already stated Japs are weak in the beginning ,so I almst always rush them
And Ourk had something going on with a strat called ''The double stable Q'', its on the agesanctuary and it works pretty good ...

Yup , brits is your civ. They have a good eco thx to manor boom, many cards to musks and also decent strats which have some diversivity
