C'mon now people, the TOP CIV, everyone knows its The Germans....
IMO the 3 major keys to success are:
1. Knowing the opposing CIV
2. Understanding the MAP
3. Choosing the appropriate deck
Other factors are microing, raiding, etc...
These 3 keys are the 3 major reasons why I always lose !

Always make sure that your wireless mouse's battery is fresh/changed before going into battle..last thing you need is to micro with the touch pad (laptop) or worse, nothing on a desktop! My guess would be that you can't use the same cd/disk on multiple computers (due to the product key #)...I'm probably wrong but a wrong response is better than no response.

Wow, IMO that was a great strategy by them...they couldn't beat you regularly, so they came up with a radical scheme that caught you off guard.
The only way to see that happening and to prepare for it, is to have the Scores displayed during the game. I use that to judget how bad I'm doing in the early part of the game (and then later on ...

YO, how do you get that stats page (name, ELO ranks, win streak, wins losses etc...)...Do I need to purchase TAD?
(not that my stats are impressive, just the opposite)...just curious though, everyone seems to have them!

Yeah, keep around the 80 villie population, you'll be able to have more than enough ECO for the battle (with the 2 factories, and guild artisans/economic theory...although I would actually send the villagers into battle (as meat shields for the doppels), I hate deleting units (except fishing boats)!
