Hmm. I think, that it's the germans who got Needle Gunners, not the french.
Yes. German and Franch Skirms have the same stats but French Voltiguer has 3 card upgrade, German only 1.

I love Aztec units, maybe they aren't OP but still a very good civ expecially for rush.

Yes i agree, surely nothing can be perfect but is evident that Japan and India are too strong at the moment (IMHO).India:- Sepoy are too strong compared to the european musks, more cost/efficent. - In colonial you CAN'T produce Hussars, Uhlans etc because Zamburaks kill your cavs in a second and they are chep (60f/60g)- Urumis
