• Re: pick my civ lol

SunilD93:Taunt 2 cacadores aren't the best skirms! They fail even HARDER than other skirms vs cav/artillery(or abus or grens) If you counter cav with skirms, you're doing it wrong. But none the less, the best skirms are Forest Prowler and Abus.

  • Re: What civ beats what and why....

France > Japan > Port/China > Russian/Spain > Sioux > Brit/Ger/Otto/India > Aztec/Iro Iro is good in the right hands but overall it's pretty crappy. Spain > Russia, but Russia is still viable versus the better majority of non-OP civs. Russia can be better than Sioux, but not usually. Sioux is better than most of the non-OP, ...

  • Re: OP fight

The cheapness of their units helps alot though, their economy is really quite good and if I could be arsed to learn them beyond jack *** (note: I can't, more interested in sup), I'm sure that a good unit combo would be pretty hard to beat cost-effectively due to the cheapness of their units. Combine that with some movement (during the ...

  • Re: German over ports

Plenty of British players who actually know how to boom in TR regularly hit over 2200 without wood trade. I can hit 2700-2800 range with wood trade + estates, or 2600 with sane wood. 2300-2400 without wood trade/estates.

Sanderson_FIN:So I shouldn't use hussars or face the lamer stamp. wow. In that case TR players can't use skirms or they're gonna be called lamers. Or Cannons. Or Mortars. Or Culverins. Or Dragoons. Or Muskets. Or Halbs. Or Crossbows.

For all intents and purposes: Heavy Cavalry = Melee cavalry Light cavalry = ranged cavalry At least, that's how the game treats it tag-wise.

I'm still awaiting the rematch of Bridarshy and _H2O (BTW it's an O, not a Zero), which will probably never come.

Bridarshy if you're so certain you'll beat him in a rematch then just do it and get it over with. To be honest I think you're underestimating _H2O as I believe when he actually focuses and tries he has the potential to beat any top TR player.

  • Re: ok next one........hardest civ?

Aztec are weak militarily, doesn't necessarily make them hard to play, just because their units don't stack up well compared to many civilisations. I'd say Iroquois, their army requires a lot of practice, coping with their shitty pop to maintain war dance is hard against Euro civilisations, their boom is the most attention-demanding due to cowing ...

  • Re: Ok Everyone Easiest Civ?

Too fix it right you'd have to change the comma to a period, nooblet. In addition, to the person claiming a truly excellent British boom is easy, bull-fruiting-shite. The British boom is one of the most attention-demanding in the entire game, only Iroquois demands more attention in fact. Pulling it off properly, achieving a good score and keeping ...
