also remember that abus guns deal out seige damage , so the entire range attack they dish out bypasses a units range resist ,xbow civ sare at a loss in early stages of game because the abus dishes out full base attack while the xbow has to deal with the abus' range resist and abus' greater range. this applies ...

deadhanddan:i have to disagree on that. 3 fishing boats isn't safer then 3 vills on land because on land you can at least garrison vills , if your opponet sends warships or get a free ship on age up you are screwed out of your 3 boats.

I think 3 fishing boats is better if you don't expect the opponent to build ships eary, because they are much safer than 3 settlets. In addition they gather from another pool of resources, so they are not depleting your herds/mines: they can be compared to trickle cards.

being as this is in supremacy forum ( not tr ) i would suggest to you only shipping 3 vills ,fishing boats only gather at .75 ( 3 boats = 2.25 vill ) compared to a vill and the vill is way more flexible in gathering food - wood or gold. being as this is for supremacy you should only send 1 shipment in age 1 ( 3 vill ) and save all of your ...

age with 15 vills if your scared for a rush. this also lets you get your shipments faster for age 2.
send 3 vil, age 400 wood. make 1 bank while aging, then get 100 gold for vill asap while putting 2~3 on wood, and ~6 each on food and gold. You dont need to attakc him, so stay defensive.
