When someone says a civ is on they mean OverPowered.

The game worked fine on all 3 before the patch. Now all three have the pach and only this one is failing to join games. I changed to run in compatibility mode for XP and it did not help any. All 3 of the computers are up to date.

It cannot be my router or connection either, because the computers are all wireless to the same router. It has to be an issue with this one computer. Could it be Vista? The ones that work are XP, but this one only stopped working correctly after the patch.

Gender doesnt matter. I'm a guy and I've been playing since AOE 1 as well. I met one woman on AOE 3 (not sure which version. I think TAD) who was pretty good. She played with her husband and both of them played very well.
So yes it is possible for a girl to get good at AOE, but they have to practice just like us guys and most girls don't see ...

My advice is be a different civ and get skilled instead of using Japan. I like them but they are way to overpowered.

Hmm reading your straegies actually gave me some ideas of my own. One thing i can say to help is when facing TWC civs especially aztec, you have to disrupt the fire pit. 10 warror priests on that thing is deadly since the villagers come out very quickly.
