What card/s would you suggest I send after reaching the Colonial Age, and in what order?
-
I think the ''shield with a unit behind it'' formation is called cover. It makes the take half ranged damage at the expense of attack.
-
The reason they are considered OP is because of their insanely powerful ashigarus. Kicking out someone for playing as Japanese does not mean they are the two things that you think they are.
-
Many people herd to avoid losses during raids. However, while it is better to kill a few vils in the process, the raid should and normally will halt the opponent's economy for a bit of time. Hussars are really, in the early game, only useful for raiding and countering a specific unit.

I don't play as the British. However, generally it is a good idea to try to age up quickly and make dragoons to kill lancers or spahi. If you have a large, strong force when they age up you could consider sending them into the fray as your opponent will be lacking in military units.
-
Your opponents were rather stupid, however, what is the point of this thread?
-
I'd say the Spanish because they can basically get a free army from shipments.
-
Obviously you can use outposts as a shipment point, but you waste wood on it. Also, they hardly give map control. If your opponent can take down a TC, they can take down an outpost easily.
-
Just pointing it out and answering the question.
-
There's nothing wrong with sending 8 xbows instead of 700 wood when facing Ottomans. This is assuming that the do an early rush composed of 10-15 jans, which most do.
