Your best bet with German vs. Brit is to do an x-bow start and watch for that stable to go up and then get pikes. I have played this matchup so many times as the German, and it normally ends up being x-bow vs. musk, and either ends up switching to x-bow pike vs musk hussar or x-bow uhlan vs. l-bow pike. I would not reccommend FF'ing in this ...

Bow pike? I would say France, Germany, China. Also, if you do bow pike, have your ally do hand cav (French, Germany, Brits, Sioux)

This thread makes me laugh. How is Musk Huss > Lbow Pike? Lbows can wreck the Musks while shielded and the pikes can just go into cover mode so they don't get killed by the Musks.

Splash>box formations. Just use sams or dopps or cuirs... and Opri boxes die really fast, or just kill the middle unit. And no, France cannot just spam cuirs and win against a skilled treaty player.

All the advice here makes my head hurt. Counter units the same way you would normally counter them. Renegado's are RI, use hand Cav, Dacoits are HI, use RI... BTW, back from the first page, posteriors is a word, and it has to do with the back sides of an animal...

Dutch always start with 6 villagers, unless on special maps, there is normally 1 random crate (Brits get 2 food, 2 wood, and 1 random, etc.)

Well, I like the strat. I tried it once, and they scouted me building 2 banks in age 1, so they massed pikeman and raised my TC trapping me in age 1, and then he exploded and I won. I predict a similar outcome for anyone who tries this strat.

Don't rush with Brits, sit back and either musk huss or lbow pike, 3 vill/700 w/ 700f or 5 settlers IMO.
