It might as well be impossible on Vanilla.
Attacking your opponent's weaknesses is fundamental strategy. Both in this game, and in combat.

I have a question for Aloysius (or any other knowledgeable person):
How long does the average computer game take to develop? I am assuming around 2-2.5 years per title, but I could be wrong.

The ''strongest unit in the whole game' question is way too broad to be answered accuarately. Some may say Cuirassier, which are easily beaten by War Wagons, which are easily beaten my massed light infantry. If you had said strongest hand cavalry, strongest heavy infantry, etc, the question would be much more feasible. Just saying strongest unit ...
