Never use the church card as german. I used it for like a year untill I realized how retarded it was. Paying more for skirmishers is just dumb. As Metis said, the dopp speed upgrade is negligible when fighting in a narrow pass such as the cliffs on andes or on orinoco.

  • Re: how to beat the portuguese in nr 40/55

If your playing german on a 1v1 on andes, you should consistently aim for 2600+ once you`ve become familiar with the boom. I recently did a 1v1 german mirror with dicktator and we both boomed 2700 thought he didn't send team mills so he technically out boomed me. I'm sure 2800 is possible if you have a lame setup like a trade post set to wood and ...

  • Re: India Tr

India can get a beast score if you max your boom out. I've seen players such as Donorprince, and Auke1 get 2700+ on andes.

  • Re: MUs

Spain is insanely strong in the cliffs and if both players are equal skill, no non op civ should ever beat them, assuming the fight is 100% heads up, no running. I'm not sure if others will agree but I find the fact that you don't need to make horse art as spain (except maybe in a mirror) and only need to make culv/mort a huge advantage. ...

This was a gg. I watched the recording and realized your skirm positioning was much better than mine, and I think it cost me the game. Your uhlan flanks were also more effective than mine.

  • Who uses attack move?

I've used this ability for about a year now, and in a 1v1 and 2v2 its fine, but as many people notice in laggy environments it causes the units to become useless as they will idle for a period of seconds before they attack something. This really only happens sometimes in 3v3's, and mainly affects melee units. So does anyone just micro their units ...

  • Re: Need a new civ help needed

I assume that you are asking what the best civ is for your experience level. If you want to progress in skill from a beginner level, you should first focus on civs that are the least micro-diverse. I would start with ports, than move onto germans/brits/ottos, and than possibly dutch/spain/iroquois. Obviously you should play what you enjoy the ...

  • German vs Brit

This is the one matchup (when playing without nats) I find to be the most challenging when playing as germans, even sometimes harder than vs spain. When playing without nats I always delete the standard 60 settlers (correct me if that is not standard). When playing against decent ranked brit players (28+) I always achieve a respectable kill/death ...

  • Re: Getting better?

If you want to get really good, make sure you use the unit training hotkeys, and have attack move hotkeyed. Since treaty is alot about winning culv wars, you'll want to control group your culvs. I set mine to f1-f5. I also find it extremely helpful to control grp buildings (raxs to 1, stables to 2, art foundries to 3 and 4), though this is not ...
